The new mini-portal sites on LH3 are a great way to highlight content tailored to specific audiences, legal topics, geographic areas, or content types. Part of a TIG grant to Atlanta Legal Aid Society, these new websites function as one-page resources that can both dynamically pull in content from your statewide website and allow options to manage content directly on the portal page itself. GeorgiaLegalAid.org has created three mini-portal sites for Foreclosure, Eviction, and Consumer information. Other possible uses include using the portals for court self-help center user information, court forms, or videos.
Additionally, mini-portal pages are easy to administer for any LawHelp state administrator. They can be managed directly through the mini-portal page using CKEditors and, if using tags or content pages, the admin interface.
If you are interested in learning more about the mini-portals, please email your Pro Bono Net contact or email@example.com. To access a mini-portal set-up form and tips, please visit the LH3 mini-portal resources folder in SWEB. You can also access the December 2012 Coordinator Call notes and recording for a demo.
Thanks to Kristin Verrill at Atlanta Legal Aid Society and the Legal Services Corporation TIG program for working with the LawHelp network on this exciting new enhancement!
